Despite the existence of numerous services for the creation of live video broadcasts via streaming, from Telefonica they do not want to be left behind. In this regard, the operator also has its own solution for broadcasting live video via streaming, it is called Xtreamr, and as of today it is available for Spain. Users who want to use the Telefonica solution will only have to download the application that is available for Android 5.0+ and iOS 8.0+.
The idea is that users install the application and start creating their own broadcasts from their mobile devices, generating links to share through different platforms. As pointed out by El Confidencial, those users who do not have the application installed will only have the option to follow the broadcasts through the web browser, although those who do have it may also make comments together with other participants.Despite the fact that Xtreamr is free for users, from Telefónica they have a paid version that offers advanced functions and is especially aimed at agencies, the media, other types of companies, and even YouTubers as well.
Despite the fact that Xtreamr arrives in Spain today, the application was previously available in the United Kingdom. And it is a matter of users choosing this solution among the other existing ones to carry out their live video broadcasts via streaming.
As they explained this morning in the presentation, Xtreamr differs from other options in that it is designed to share emissions with contacts, either publicly or privately, instead of seeking to be discovered by other users.
As we say, this option is available today for Spain through the Google Play Store and App Store. With this solution, Telefonica wants to go one step further to become digital teleco by offering other solutions beyond its core business.
