Public domain (CC0)
This is the most permissive license of all. Content covered under a Public Domain license may or may not be shared and modified for commercial purposes. This can be done without any conditions; it is not even necessary to give credit to the author.
Recognition (by) and Recognition Share Alike (by-sa)
The Recognition license allows you to share and modify a creation for commercial purposes or not. In addition, this license requires recognition of the author, regardless of the jurisdiction in which it applies.
The Equal Share Recognition license is very similar to the Recognition license. The only difference is that the latter requires the same type of license to be maintained in shared or modified creation.
Derivative No-Work Recognition (by-nd)
This license allows you to share a creation for commercial purposes or not, but it prohibits you from modifying the original creation. Like the previous two, it requires acknowledgment of the author.
Non-Commercial Recognition (by-nc)
This license allows you to share and modify content, as long as it is not going to be used for commercial purposes. That is, you cannot earn money through the platform on which you share the work.
NonCommercial Recognition Share Alike (by-nc-sa)
This is one of the most restrictive licenses. It allows to share and modify a creation, but only respecting the original license and without commercial purposes.
Non-Commercial Recognition No Derivative Work (by-nc-nd)
This is the least permissive license of all. It only allows sharing a creation, not modifying it or using it for commercial purposes. Of course, acknowledging the author is mandatory. In some cases, the license also requires the original license to be maintained.
