Currently only available in Madrid and surroundings, Sherpandipity (sherpandipity.com) was born as an alternative to conventional travel, a place where we can buy and sell rides, available for both web and mobile.
The goal is to connect the tourist with the Sherpas, local citizens willing to offer knowledge, experience and culture to discover things that would otherwise be hidden under tons of traditional tourist brochures.
[…] It offers the traveler a quick and easy way to contact a Sherpa who has similar tastes and hobbies and who advises and proposes experiences and plans adapted to the same way of life.
You can write articles to promote their experiences and, in this way, improve their area of visibility online. They can sell the tour they offer on the site, where there are already several registered from the most diverse categories (gastronomic, cultural, sports, etc.).
Collaborative consumption in leisure tourism in Spain, as defined this project that wants to expand to the rest of the country in the coming months.
They include a service, called Bell Boy, that helps meet specific needs at the destination, from buying concert tickets, reserving a restaurant or having a café con leche in the main square, for example.
These services can now be contracted directly to Sherpas through the website. Sherpandipity obtains a commission on each of the contracted services, with a totally secure payment module.
