My planet - animations and fun games to learn to take care of the planet

My planet is a proposal created by the Ministry of the Environment of the Government of Spain so that primary school boys and girls acquire healthy habits for the care and protection of the environment from a very young age.

On the site we can find an interactive flash video Take care of the water of your planet that tells us the history of the dry planet, in which its inhabitants consume water without control. Marmauta, the hero of the story travels the universe with an empty water tank and arrives on planet Earth, where he teaches children through learning games how to make better use of water.

Furthermore, on My planet we can find other interactive games accompanied by an audio presentation, something that captures the attention of children from the beginning and invites them to stay on the page. These activities revolve around the issues of recycling, controlled fishing and the Food Pyramid.

Finally, the page has some audio activities, which as riddles, ask the 6 to 12-year-old child different questions about other environmental issues.

It is a very original and attractive proposal to work on many topics of Environmental Awareness in the classroom and for children to use at home in order to develop their environmental awareness.
