Kirima's Journey - an interactive story to learn about ecology

Kirima.es refers us to an educational project subsidized by the Ministry of the Environment and Rural and Marine Affairs of Spain, aimed at students of the Second Cycle of Early Childhood Education. It is conceived as a complete didactic unit, which the teacher can use in the classroom depending on the characteristics of the group or the development of the programming.

The fundamental objective of El Viaje de Kirima is to raise awareness about the problem of climate change and provide students with strategies to find solutions, covering aspects related to energy saving, responsible consumption, recycling or reuse of products. The ultimate purpose is for recipients to develop habits that respect the environment.

The program includes a Story starring Kirima, the framework from which the adventure begins, a Didactic Guide, with information for teachers related to climate change and a description of the activities that will be carried out. It also has a CD, which contains all the information on the project, a game board and magnets, as well as several posters showing the solutions and problems related to climate change.

It is a very useful tool to educate students from the first levels of Primary about the importance of caring for the Environment from a friendly and close perspective, such as that offered by stories.
