Internet without risks is an initiative of CEDETEL whose main objective is to sensitize children between 7 to 12 years old, parents, educators and monitors about him responsible use of the internet.
The topics that are touched on in the project explain in depth any situation that children and young people may face online, such as: undesirable content, illegal downloads, false appearances, possible scams, viruses, learning to take responsibility of the traces left on the profiles, etc.
The most striking thing about this website are the episodes of Vizu and Lola, two young Internet users to whom everything happens every time they sit down to surf. Their adventures are presented in flash animation format and are hilarious. In addition, each animation is accompanied by a challenge, questions and answers on the subject on which the animation focuses; a series of comprehension activities and tips. However, these last two are not presented in a very conspicuous way, so they will probably be of more use to parents and teachers than to children or students.
On the site we can also find a glossary presented as a Password, a help zone in case the child or young person has doubts or feels insecure on the Internet, a calendar of events and a description of the project.
Finally, the web has a pedagogical space with restricted access for those teachers or monitors who want to use the printable materials from the project.
It is a resource that allows children and young people to entertain themselves while learning with the episodes, while parents can have materials to establish communication channels on topics in which they are not so proficient with their children.
