Google Maps reminds you absolutely of all the places you have visited, already on iOS

Google Maps for iOS receives the function of Your chronology: Remember all the places you’ve been, at any time.

Where were you December 16, 2016? If that day coincided with an important appointment you will surely remember it, but if you are not very clear now Google Maps will refresh your memory in detail.

The Timeline option, which was already available on Android and on the Maps website, now comes also to iOS. This is how the Your chronology section works on Google Maps on iPhone / iPad.

Tuchronology, your day to day on Google Maps

First announced in 2015, this Google location history takes advantage of the location of our smartphone to keep saving each of the movements we make from day to day, resulting in an authentic timeline or chronology of our trips.

It is not that it simply indicates where we have been, but the route we have taken, at what time and how long it has taken, being able to detect even the means of transport that we have used (although it is not always correct).

The option of Your chronology now comes to Google Maps for iOS and you will not have to do anything to have it, simply display the side menu and there you will see the new section.

Full integration with Google Photos

The really interesting thing is that we can navigate our locations on any day. I mean, can you select a date the calendar and remember directly where you were and even thephotographs you took with your smartphone in that place. Great on the one hand, not so much because of the level of control that Google can have over our data (if we allow it, of course).

Of course, you can add places and correct locations manually, for example to change the mode of transportation. Or if you prefer, you can also completely remove locations one day so there is no trace of where you were.

From the configuration of Google Maps we can also activate or deactivate the integration with Google Photos (to synchronize the photos) or allow Maps to send us monthly reports with our movements. It is not necessary to update the application to use the Timeline.
