Google presents Google Transit for Barcelona (en m.google.es/maps for mobiles), a planning tool for metropolitan routes in public transport included within Google Maps (a few weeks ago I introduced you to Google Transit in Madrid) that includes all the indirectly managed bus lines of the EMT, Metro and TMB buses, Tramvia Metropolit and Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya ..
We can know the public transport offer to go from an origin to a destination, with schedules, routes and companies that provide the service, with the total travel times on foot to the transport stop or terminal, waits, transfers and travel time all over Barcelona.
We only have to enter an address of origin and another destination and the screen will show the alternatives to plan the trip.
This initiative has been possible thanks to the joint work of EMT-Cetramsa, TMB, Tramvia Metropolit, FGC and Google, which for months have been developing and implementing all the information necessary to achieve maximum utility for users, helping to improve travel and mobility. Urban mobility.
EMT-Cetramsa: 2,989 stops and 99 bus lines, TMB: 8 lines, 140 stations and more than 100 kilometers of Metro, in addition to 108 lines and 2,573 bus stops, Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya: 75 stations and more than 180 kilometers of tracks, Tramvia Metropolit: Between Trambaix and Trambess, 6 lines, 56 stops and 29 kilometers of route.
