Currently, we have a series of map services that, together with certain applications, allow us to see our locations within them. When we are in exterior enclosures, there is no problem with the precisions when it comes to telling us where we are on the map, although when we are in interior enclosures, it is already complicated, since the map services cannot determine exactly the exact places where we are.
That is why Google has launched an application for Android in order to collect and analyze a series of data about WiFi access points as well as telephone towers that allow improving the precision of locations in the interior. This app is intended only for place owners who have submitted their floor plans to the Google mapping service.
With this, Google Maps users can now have greater precision when they are at a specific point on the map in a closed area. It is a shame that at the moment it is not indicated in the locations in the plant number where it is located or that this application is not open to the use by volunteers for the physical mapping of closed rooms.
