EcoTweet – The ecological Twitter client

EcoTweet - The ecological Twitter client

EcoTweet is an original Twitter web client that aims to raise awareness about the need to slow down climate change, donating small amounts of money each time we tweet from him:

Thanks to our sponsors, every time you send an EcoTweet from our platform, you neutralize CO2 with carbon credits from forests and other certified green projects that fight global warming and decontaminate the atmosphere.

The interface is really nice, with great avatars and a very clean aesthetic, although the most curious thing is that the web shows the amount of CO2 that we have neutralized thanks to our tweets, as well as its equivalent in real life (number of light bulbs lit, car consumption …).

It should also be noted that, according to their website, among the ecoTweets sent, raffle on December 10, 2010 a trip Double on the Linblad Expeditions and National Geographic Cruise to the North Pole.

Although the application is still a mere curiosity and lacks functionalities, its approach to raise awareness about the energy consumption we do on a daily basis is very interesting.
