Despite the fact that both Facebook internationally and Tuenti for Spain are the social networks best known by the common user, there are more networks such as Orkut, Hi5, MySpace, among many others. The great thing about next-gen social media is that they take advantage of the weak points of the big social media and create alternative social media services, like Buddify.
Buddify is a new social network, hence for now I cannot do a thorough test, where it allows people to be in contact, belong to groups, establish discussions and share photos, with an emphasis on privacy, where the user is that he has the power to decide at any time if his new photograph, his comment, the groups he has created or even his profile at a general level can be accessible by anyone, by his friends or only by himself.
The Buddify interface is quite easy to use, minimalist and with the right options to be a social network, where we find a list of activities that we can filter and a sidebar with the options, among others, to add photos, to create groups or even to edit the profile, where we have a series of fields that we can modify, ranging from privacy options to notifications by email.
And like everything else, it will only depend on the adoption of the users that Buddify has a greater or less number of users, in which first case they will force Buddify to incorporate new functionalities and improvements over time.
