Placing Touch ID on the new iPhone is driving Apple mad; It is very possible that you will not be able to make the initial concept come true.
We already know so much about the new iPhone 8 (or iPhone X), that at this point nothing seems to surprise us; However, it is possible that one of the strongest rumors so far is not coming true, and not because Apple does not want to.
There is no longer room for the fingerprint sensor on the front of the phones
It is quite clear that the screen of the iPhone 8 will be the same style as that of the Samsung Galaxy S8 (and from the same manufacturer); that is, they occupy most of the front of the device. The size of the mobile will not change, but the screen will be bigger this way.
That sounds very nice, but what about the Touch ID fingerprint reader? Samsung met the same question, and its solution was at least curious; put it on the back of the device, right next to the camera. A location that is not perfect, and that has already had some criticism.
But since the location of Touch ID has traditionally been on the front, Apple wanted to continue this; and to achieve this, I developed new biometric technologies that work even under the screen glass.
The new device usesinfrared rays to detect fingerprints of the users; therefore, we would only have to put our finger on the screen, in the same area as always. Only with that the system will recognize us.
Plan B for Touch ID on the new iPhone
But that was too pretty to be true, apparently. According to the latest rumors, Apple is having real trouble integrating this fingerprint reader on the screen; to the point that Plan B has already started.
Plan B simply consists of bring the fingerprint reader to the back of the device; This is revealed by a new photograph of the design of the back cover of the new iPhone. A simple but effective solution in the sense that at least the sensor works.

It is still disappointing, as the position of the reader is very similar to that of many Android phones. Considering that the price of the iPhone is expected to exceed 1000 dollars, it is strange to see such a simple solution. Will we have to wait for the iPhone 8s?
