Anonymous is again in the news in Spain and does so by filtering the personal data of more than 5,400 National Police officers.
The world knows Anonymous, the group in turn made up of different groups across the planet for freedom of expression and justice. Their latest action goes against the National Police, since they have leaked the data of more than five thousand Corps officials.
As reported by El Confidencial, from the Twitter account of @ FkPoliceAnonOps they have announced the leak of the data, a group that is supposed to be associated with Anonymous.
How have they obtained the data from the National Police?
That is the main question that has come to light when knowing the data leak, although it has a very simple answer: they have agreed to hack the website of Mupol.es, the Police Social Welfare Mutuality, that is, theof the National Police.
There are approximately information from about 5,400 agents and officials of the National Police Spanish, including full names, DNIs, emails, credentials and discharge dates. According to the sources of El Confidencial, it is not false information, but there is real data, although most likely, many of those accounts are no longer used.
Why does Anonymous hack the National Police?
That’s the other question, why do they do it. The authors of the attack themselves have published a statement giving their reasons that are summarized in the search for justice for assaulting their brothers with false accusations, fighting against corruption in the Body, censorship and freedom of expression.
The company that manages and maintains the Mtua website does not stop well, MarketiNet.net,the psimas security measures of your system and the ease with which they have accessed the database. Furthermore, they claim that after two weeks they were still on the server without being detected.
The authorities are currently investigating what happened and this hack may be related to the theft of data from more than 5,000 agents of the Mossos dEsquadra Union a few days ago.
