Amazon has announced the launch of a section of its Kindle store with the titles in Spanish. Available at www.amazon.com/tiendakindle includes:
– The Spanish version of the best-selling in the United States (according to Nielsen) and 65 of the 100 best-selling in Spanish on Amazon.com – The largest representation of Mexican authors, including Jos Emilio Pacheco, Carlos Monsivis and Sergio Pitol – Kindle Singles in Spanish, including Vonnegut Kurt and Susan Orlean – An exclusive selection by Dora la Exploradora and Diego Go Go – Compilations of articles from El Pas, including exclusive pieces by Mexican journalists who write about current affairs in Mexico – Subscriptions to 14 Major Latin American Newspapers like El Universal y La Nacin – Popular books translated into Spanish, such as the Hunger Games series, the Twilight Saga, Steve Jobs, The Help, and books by authors Stephen King, Nora Roberts and Joel Osteen
There are more than 30,000 classified titles, ready for rapid consumption, for the moment for readers in the United States with plans to open borders soon.
Authors and independent publishers can also use the KDP website (kdp.amazon.com) and select Spanish to make their books available on the Kindle while still owning the rights to their books.
